Because Stories Matter

Salt & Sun Stories is a Cambodia-based independent production company founded by Sreymom Mab, a producer working across documentary, fiction, and journalistic storytelling.

Her work focuses on character-driven stories rooted in Cambodian and Southeast Asian contexts, with an emphasis on authenticity, access, and grounded perspectives. She works closely with local communities and collaborators to support stories that are both intimate and impactful.

Sreymom has experience as a producer, field producer, fixer, and production manager, collaborating with international production and organizations including UNICEF, Oxfam, GIZ. She also directed 2 shorts, co-directed the feature doc “Mother, there’s a star in me” (CIFF 2025), and won awards for socially impactful films. Her short film “How to Cut a Watermelon” is currently in distribution. She was selected for the impACT Lab at the Marché du Film, part of the Cannes Film Festival 2026.

Through Salt & Sun Stories, she provides end-to-end production support, bridging local knowledge with international production standards.
